Brief Description of Duties / Responsibilities

Diagnose, treat, and manage critically ill patients in an academic tertiary care Emergency Department in Chicago, IL.

What Has Been Your Proudest Accomplishment Post-CWP?

Graduating medical school.

CWP Career Impact

In one sentence, what has CWP meant to you?

You can accomplish anything with hard work, discipline, and patience.

How did your CWP experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

Helped me get into medical school, had a great story. Now I still stay in touch with many of my CWP colleagues. I launched a business with another CWP alumni who was my branch manager while I was a district manager.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CWP experience?

There are two things you can always control: attitude and effort. Focus on these two things and let everything else happen.

Advice

What advice do you have for potential CWP participants? Current CWP participants?

Know it will likely be the toughest experience you've had and you will want to quit (i.e. when cold calling) but to keep the big picture and end goal in mind. It will be worth it in the end.

What's your favorite memory from CWP?

Windsor my manager year.

Last words of wisdom

CWP gives you potential for real responsibility and opportunity as a college student. To this day I still do not know of any program that can match this.
