Brief Description of Duties / Responsibilities

Manage a team of 7 technicians in the repair of major engine failures on natural gas engines.

What Has Been Your Proudest Accomplishment Post-CWP?

I was given the best annual review of anybody at my branch, which included people that have been with the company for 15 years.

CWP Career Impact

In one sentence, what has CWP meant to you?

College Works was pretty much the only thing I talked about in my first of two job interviews. It went so well they decided to skip the second and welcomed me to the company.

How did your CWP experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

Managing different personalities during summer was huge. Getting the class clown up to the same level of production as the most focused person on your team is not easy, but it is possible. I find myself in the middle of that struggle daily.

What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?

I had a few great clients that I am very thankful for. They put their trust in me and wrote me great reference letters when the job was complete. I was very happy to show those in my next job interview.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CWP experience?

I can try something that I have absolutely no experience doing, that's way outside my comfort zone, and excel at it.

How has the friendships and networks you built during CWP affected you?

I still stay in contact with multiple people from College Works, both from my time as an intern and RC.

What advice do you have for potential CWP participants? Current CWP participants?

Potential: do it. Current: do it BIG.

What's your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?

What you learn in CWP is transferable to any career. You strengthen the intangibles that all employers are looking for.

What's your favorite memory from CWP?

Cancun. It meant you made it to the top and could celebrate all the hard work you put in during the summer.

Last words of wisdom

Go all in during this internship. It's hard but it's extremely rewarding.
