Brief Description of Duties / Responsibilities

I have an agency of sales people and agency managers across that the country that sell life insurance. I am responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, managing sales people and agency managers.

What Has Been Your Proudest Accomplishment Post-CWP?

Career wise, finding a job working 30 hours a week and making 250K+

CWP Career Impact

In one sentence, what has CWP meant to you?

Foundation for the rest of my career.

How did your CWP experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

Did not have to start in entry level positions. I knew what I wanted to do and went after it. I had already put in thousands of hours of practice with sales and sales management before leaving college which gave me a huge leg up that has continued to give me a leg up to this day.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CWP experience?

Be coachable and work hard and you can be successful in anything.

If you had to come up with an one line slogan for CWP, what would it be? :)

Skills learned can be applied in any field.

Advice

What advice do you have for potential CWP participants? Current CWP participants?

"Potential: Go for it, you do not know what you are good at until you give it a shot. Do not let your fears stop you in life. College is the time to discover yourself. Current: Listen to your DM and follow the system. The system works, but only if you follow it and put in the hard work. This internship is not easy by any means and you will be doing things you are uncomfortable with and do not want to do at times but success does not come by chance or accident."

Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CWP. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?

Well I am in sales and sales management so it directly falls in line with CWP. However, When I took the internship I had no clue that I was interested in the sales field and did the internship for management experience. I ended up loving sales and do not know if I would have discovered this otherwise.

What's your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?

Develop yourself outside of just learning the sales process, read books, go to personal growth, training, development seminars, invest in yourself.
