Brief Description of Duties / Responsibilities

Acquire new business for LivingSocial in an Inside Sales environment. Responsible for closing deals and hitting quotas.

What Has Been Your Proudest Accomplishment Post-CWP?

Being the youngest in a 100-person office and the only one who has exceeded my quota by 200% each month.

CWP Career Impact

In one sentence, what has CWP meant to you?

CWP instilled a work ethic that no other College level program ever will be able to accomplish.

How did your CWP experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

For starters, I graduated and landed the exact job that I wanted within 2 weeks of my job search. CWP makes you work harder than you will ever be used to, so getting into the real world feels almost easy.

What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?

I of course would like to thank each and every one of my clients, but I would like to especially thank the Roddys. Their job in particular showed me that even if you hit a road bump, everything is fixable. It took a little extra hard work, but at the end of the day, there is always a way to resolve things. The Roddys and I left on wonderful terms and that is all that mattered.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CWP experience?

I always keep in mind a quote from my intern year: "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." -Wayne Gretzky. Sounds cheesy but sometimes that last house you were about to skip is the one that signs you a check for $5K. Keeping that attitude nowadays has helped me push myself to always wanting more career-wise.

If you had to come up with an one line slogan for CWP, what would it be? :)

Work hard, play hard

Advice

What advice do you have for potential CWP participants? Current CWP participants?

For potential participants- Do this for the experience. Expect insane work weeks, and have lots of support from your family. For Current CWP participants- Don't give up. It's going to push your work ethic to the extreme, but no employer is going to be impressed if you quit halfway through.

What's your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?

Manage your time, organize well, and never get complacent.

What's your favorite memory from CWP?

All those work hard play hard moments on payroll fridays, and the people of course. Being in an environment with so many impressive and motivated young professionals was truly inspiring.

Last words of wisdom
