Brief Description of Duties / Responsibilities

I run all inside sales for the city of San Francisco at Juniper Networks. I prospect, find, run, and close deals which are under $100,000. Juniper Networks sells Carrier class Routers, Switches, and Security platforms.

What Has Been Your Proudest Accomplishment Post-CWP?

Getting a job offer from both Juniper Networks and Solar City.

CWP Career Impact

In one sentence, what has CWP meant to you?

CWP in my eyes was the hardest job I have ever had, but brought me to the position at where I am at currently.

How did your CWP experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

CWP didn't just get me a job right out of college, but molded me into the hard working person I am today. I now recognize and aspire to have integrity, success, and professionalism.

What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?

The Mentels. After production was backed up several months because of incremental weather, these two lovely people we very patient with ever step of the process. They were by far the easiest, and nicest customers I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CWP experience?

The greatest lesson I learned is that you are never going to be the smartest, or most talented person in a room. That's life. But, it is up to you whether or not you are the hardest working person in a room.

How has the friendships and networks you built during CWP affected you?

I have very special friends that I made through CWP that I stay in contact with to this day. The friends I made through CWP are not like any other, because they are like minded individuals, who have very similar aspirations as I did.

If you had to come up with an one line slogan for CWP, what would it be? :)

An exceptional internship for exceptional individuals.


What advice do you have for potential CWP participants? Current CWP participants?

Just like me, you are never going to work harder than where you are right now at CWP. You don't just have to worry about work, but you are also a full time student. It doesn't make it any easier when all of your friends are having fun on the weekends being lazy. But if you persevere, and fight through it, you will end up with a much better job, and career path than all of your friends. If you are not struggling, you aren't putting enough on your plate.

Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CWP. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?

CWP is much more than just a management, sales, and leadership internship. It teaches you values such as integrity, hard work, and responsibility.

What's your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?

With someone aspiring to be in sales, the easiest and fastest way to start your career fresh out of college is to get a sales internship. I had two years of sales experience with College Works Painting and my current boss reached out to me directly while in my senior year. During the interview process, we rarely brought up classes or school, but focused on my achievements I made through College Works. I credit the job that I have now solely on the work that I put in during my tenure with College Works.

What's your favorite memory from CWP?

My Cancun trip with all of those who worked hard enough to get there.
