CWP Career Impact
In one sentence, what has CWP meant to you?
CWP has given me leadership and business experience I could not have received anywhere else, and gave me the confidence to take on challenging situations.
How did your CWP experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
CWP gave me the experience needed to get in the door at my current company. It broadened my experiences outside of finance which gives me a better perspective when working with other business leaders. I have recruited many CWP alums as interns for Honeywell.
What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?
One guy gave my crew lunch each day. The $30 it cost him was worth so much more to my crew.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CWP experience?
Every situation has a solution, communication is very important, it's important to believe in what you do.
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CWP participants? Current CWP participants?
Make sure it's the right experience for you. You are going to either love it or hate it, and to only get out what you put in.
What's your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
Do CWP as a freshmen or sophomore. The business background you get from CWP will make you a better professional in your field of choice.
What's your favorite memory from CWP?
Showing up at the site, telling my painters what to do, and leaving to go to an amusement park for the rest of the day.
