What Has Been Your Proudest Accomplishment Post-CWP?

My proudest accomplishment was becoming a Dad on October 1st of 2021.

CWP Career Impact

In one sentence, what has CWP meant to you?

CWP was probably the best thing I could have gotten involved in, as it has really changed my perspective on what it takes to be successful in business.

How did your CWP experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

CWP gave me the tools to go make an immediate impact in the sales industry after college. I was not afraid to take a job that relied solely on commissions because I knew I could be successful with what I had learned in CWP. I graduated May of 2018 and now I have been a Sales manager at one of the largest Honda dealers in the Midwest for just over a year!

What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?

I do not remember the clients name, but I do know exactly where their house is! They lived in Germantown, WI. Very nice couple, and the wife worked for Anheuser - Busch. (They gave our crew boatloads of free beer). To answer the question, and this can go for all of my clients, I would like to say Thank You. Thank You for the opportunity to learn and to grow.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CWP experience?

Do not take shortcuts. Always give you best effort.

How has the friendships and networks you built during CWP affected you?

The friendships you make do not just end after the internship ends. It is awesome to still have some amazing friends from CWP. You may drift in different directions in life, but it is super easy to stay connected.

What advice do you have for potential CWP participants? Current CWP participants?

Do it! Embrace the grind, and take it seriously. Get out of your comfort zone! If you put in the work, you will get rewarded for it!

Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CWP. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?

CWP really offers so much more than other internships many of my classmates were apart of. With CWP you get a taste of what it is like to run a business on your own. Doing this internship gives you a big advantage if you are looking to get into the car industry, or any sales career for that matter. You get sales experience, customer service experience, and you will know what it takes to be exceptional from A-Z. By taking advantage of this opportunity you will not only have one of the most memorable summers of your college years, but you will set yourself up for future success in whatever career field you choose.

What's your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?

Do not give up! Everything is based off of EFFORT and doing the little things! Do not forget to stop and make a friend. At the end of the day, long term success in Sales is a product of relationship building.

What's your favorite memory from CWP?

Windsor, Canada. In order to keep it PG-13, I cannot expand on this.

Last words of wisdom

Do not give up! Keep pushing to be better and to do better! Get 1% better every day.
