Brief Description of Duties / Responsibilities

I'm a Personal Assistant to a celebrity makeup artist who sells her cosmetics line on QVC. Some of my responsibilities include coordinating her QVC shows, writing the run of show, scheduling events, personal appearances, photo shoots etc., public relations, social media, and life management.

What Has Been Your Proudest Accomplishment Post-CWP?

Finding my dream job- the job I have now. Waking up every day and loving what I do. Assisting on Beyonce's Mrs. Carter album shoot was a pretty proud moment too.

CWP Career Impact

How did your CWP experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

My experience with CWP definitely made my resume more impressive. Just being able to put the amount of revenue you produce on your resume is worth the price of admission. I had always worked in restaurants to make money throughout high school and college, and I did some field studies and campaigns through Temple University that all contributed to my work ethic, but my time with CWP was far more valuable than anything else I did in college.

What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?

Richard Spillane- My biggest job of the summer. Upon completion of his home, he gave me the best reference letter I've ever received. I guess I would want to thank Richard for being just crazy enough to take a chance on me and invest $12,000 on the job my crew and I did. You gave me the opportunity to prove to you, and to myself that I could do whatever I set my mind to.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CWP experience?

It's always impossible until it's done.

What advice do you have for potential CWP participants? Current CWP participants?

It isn't easy. But if you put in the time and you listen to your DM, it will be worth it.

Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CWP. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?

Remember to think about the big picture and why you started CWP in the first place. When you get into the real world-there's a big difference between saying you're hard working and showing how hard you've worked.

What's your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?

I didn't do an internship in college so I can't speak much for those, but I can say with 100% certainty that CWP gave me the confidence in the business world that I still carry today.

What's your favorite memory from CWP?

Cancun!! Of course. Skydiving, Penn State weekends and football games, booking my biggest job of the Summer.
