Brief Description of Duties / Responsibilities

Head of the Sales and Business development team. Training and leading my team to source business and consult clients throughout the sales processes.

What Has Been Your Proudest Accomplishment Post-CWP?

I am 22 years old and I am a homeowner.

CWP Career Impact

In one sentence, what has CWP meant to you?

I was one of the worst performers my year at CWP, yet I still landed great job after great job since then because of all the skills it introduced me to.

How did your CWP experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

Immediately after CWP, I went into sales because it was the only thing I was good at in CWP. That same year I made $72,000 while I was still in college. Now I'm to the point where I'm training people and leading entire sales teams.

What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?

A lady names Jean who lived very humbly in a tattered up house. It looks great now and 3 years later still looks great! I am proud we could help her out.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CWP experience?

CWP is like a shotgun for entrepreneurship. It hits everything, marketing, sales, management, production, client retention, accounting, ect. This lets you get an idea of what you're good at and what you need to develop. I realized I liked sales and was bad at everything else but I never would have know that without this.

How has the friendships and networks you built during CWP affected you?

A few of them went on to become clients of mine. We still keep in touch occasionally.

If you had to come up with an one line slogan for CWP, what would it be? :)

Where Entrepreneurship starts.

What advice do you have for potential CWP participants? Current CWP participants?

It is hard work so do not expect it to be sunshine and rainbows. It's a job. Hit as many doors as you can and practice practice practice.

Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CWP. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?

It does not hurt. Even if you do poorly or if this is not specific to you, you are learning a lot of skills that you will need eventually.

What's your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?

Stay focused! Sales is a numbers game! The longer you are at it, the better it gets!

What's your favorite memory from CWP?

Closing my first deal
