What Has Been Your Proudest Accomplishment Post-CWP?
My current role as Executive Director.
CWP Career Impact
In one sentence, what has CWP meant to you?
It provided me with the fundamental foundation of what it takes to run a business day in and day out.
How did your CWP experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
It provided me with many more interviews than my peers. When potential employers saw I ran my own business from the ground up they wanted to meet me.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CWP experience?
How much dedication it takes to run your own business. How to do a cold call sale. I was way ahead of anyone else with this in my current company due to my experiences going door to door.
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CWP participants? Current CWP participants?
Do it and stay with it. Your experience gained will be the most valuable thing you will gain. The skills will pay off for you.
What's your favorite memory from CWP?
White water rafting in the Poconos in PA. It was a lot of fun and turned into a wrestling match on the rafts (Penn State vrs Temple). Of course Temple won.
Last words of wisdom
The skills you will gain with this internship can be applied to many different settings in potential jobs you will be applying for in the future post graduation. If you're not afraid of some hard work then there is no reason why you should not do this.
