Last words of wisdom
As an engineering student in a civil-related field (work with many contractors) there is nothing that brings more confidence in an interview than being able to talk about how well I'm able to connect and communicate with contractors after actually having been one and knowing what they're dealing with in terms of hours and money, almost no other engineers can bring having been a contractor to the table especially while still in college.
