What Has Been Your Proudest Accomplishment Post-CWP?

Quitting my day job to run my business full-time.

CWP Career Impact

In one sentence, what has CWP meant to you?

CWP gave me the knowledge of how to manage a business in a way that I could actually run my own.

How did your CWP experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

Initially I went into the traditional workforce out of college, but I was always trying to strum up some side gig because I loved the entrepreneurial aspect I learned at CWP (and I had that mindset prior to CWP as well). Then in 2018 I started running Spikeball tournaments as a hobby and was able to take it from a baby start up that I thought it was a pipe dream to be able to do it full time, but I pushed hard and was able to quit my day job after growing it for 3 years, and being the first (and currently only) person who has been able to run Spikeball tournaments full time in the world.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CWP experience?

How to manage time and a budget

Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CWP. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?

My career field is just running a small business. I took what was a hobby and was able to run it responsibly enough to scale it into a full time career, the first of its kind.

What's your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?

Put your heart into it and go hard.

What's your favorite memory from CWP?

Team activities from boating to paint balling to go-karting. It was a blast working with the team and simultaneously supporting each other while competing against each other.
