Brief Description of Duties / Responsibilities

My main focus is renewing Verizon's security customers, but I also do all of the reporting for my team. Sales with a bit of number crunching.

What Has Been Your Proudest Accomplishment Post-CWP?

I was able to find a well paying job before I graduated from college.

CWP Career Impact

In one sentence, what has CWP meant to you?

CWP taught me many lessons and turned me into the professional I am today.

How did your CWP experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

I think having CWP on my resume and being able to say I successfully ran my own business definitely got my foot in the door.

What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?

James and Katie Boland. Katie was a stay at home mom who would bake us cookies. They were some of the nicest people and even though there were some aspects they were not happy with, they were patient with us and worked with us to correct mistakes.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CWP experience?

I learned how to plan and be organized. I still carry around a planner with me today.

How has the friendships and networks you built during CWP affected you?

Nothing extreme, but I talk to my DM all the time and thank him. Little things come up and I am reminded of a quote or some lesson learned from him.

If you had to come up with an one line slogan for CWP, what would it be? :)

You will work your butt off and regret it until you realize how far you have come.

What advice do you have for potential CWP participants? Current CWP participants?

Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty, you can't ask your workers to do anything you wouldn't do. Lead by example and always try your hardest. Its not a difficult job if you can handle stress.

Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CWP. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?

There is no job you can't relate to CWP. If you know how to tell the story it will impress all interviewers.

What's your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?

Telecom companies are always looking for talent. Its a cut throat industry but it isn't going anywhere. If you can handle CWP you can handle telecom.

What's your favorite memory from CWP?

I hired 1 of my best friends as a painter and we both reflect on that whole summer and talk about how much we hated it then, but miss it now. It was one giant headache but in the end I had a great time and learned a lot.

Last words of wisdom

Always set goals for yourself. You can't go anywhere without direction.
